As the Fallon campaign builds momentum under the direction of his press aide and mistress (Linda Kozlowski), a veteran FBI agent (Robert Loggia) and his rookie partner (Lance Guest) launch an investigation into the assassination that unearths evidence of duplicity and cover-up.
