The Hobbit (1978)
J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit introduced many readers, young and old, to the alternate world of Middle Earth. His tales of a world of hobbits, elves, dwarves, and wizards enflamed the imaginations of generations of readers and has even inspired scholarly discourse.
