She's even prepared to blow up the courtroom if the judge doesn't comply. Problem is, the con in question is a soap-opera character. The situation is complicated by the fact that the proceedings are being televised by a local cable company.

# 2. Sitcom vet Florence Stanley (Barney Miller, Flash) has the best moments on tonight's Night Court. The former Bernice Fish guest stars as Judge Stone's irascible replacement, a "menopausal basset hound" who throws Dan in jail for contempt of court.

The singer, who's in New York for a concert, is forced to cancel the gig when Harry (Harry Anderson) gives him the flu. The episode is also notable for fans of the womanizing Dan Fielding (John Larroquette). Earlier this season, Dan ran for the state assembly, and the election resulted in a tie. Tonight, a new election is held.
