Some of the funniest moments from Night Court's last five seasons are resurrected tonight when an accountant from City Services audits Harry's courtroom—and finds that the good judge has run up $954,768.39 in expenses. Although the program is nothing more than a glorified rerun, it is thoroughly entertaining. Particularly amusing are the segments that focus on lusty Dan Fielding (John Larroquette). Marion Ross guest stars as the ultimate couch potato on an amusing Night Court. Unable to differentiate between reality and video, she wants Harry to free a man who's been falsely imprisoned. She's even prepared to blow up the courtroom if the judge doesn't comply. Problem is, the con in question is a soap-opera character. The situation is complicated by the fact that the proceedings are being televised by a local cable company. (8 PM 2) 2/1/89
Sitcom vet Florence Stanley (Barney Miller, Fish) has the best moments on tonight's Night Court. The former Bernice Fish guest stars as Judge Stone's irascible replacement, a "menopausal basket hound" who throws Dan in jail for contempt of court. (8 PM 2) 2/15/89
Judge Stone's musical idol, Mel Torme, guest stars as himself on a raucous outing of Night Court. The singer, who's in New York for a concert, is forced to cancel the gig when Harry (Harry Anderson) gives him the flu. The episode is also notable for fans of the womanizing Dan Fielding (John Larroquette). Earlier this season, Dan ran for the state assembly, and the election resulted in a tie. On tonight's exceptionally funny Night Court, Harry feels threatened by Christine's new boyfriend, a wealthy, sophisticated and very vital sexagenarian. Peter Hansen (Lee Baldwin of General Hospital fame) guest stars as Christine's new beau.

Movie: Fine performances and some clever plot machinations dominate the gripping conclusion of "Internal Affairs," a superior 1988 TV-police story. Richard Crenna (as New York detective lieutenant Frank Janek) is trying to nab a pair of crooked cops and solve the unrelated strangulation murder of a prostitute. As tonight's installment opens, Janek is about to spring an elaborate sting operation on the renegade cops. Meanwhile, a Vietnamese madam now comfortably retired in Tampa gives him an important lead in the hooker's killing. The fly in the ointment: the middle-aged Janek's romantic involvement with a much younger woman (Kate Capshaw) has not gone unnoticed. Somebody has wiretapped her apartment.
Movie: Richard Crenna is back investigating crime in the Big Apple in "Terror on Track 9," an intriguing ★★★ 1992 TV-movie that marks the actor's fifth outing as detective Frank Janek. This time, his NYPD unit seeks a serial killer who is targeting women in Grand Central Station. Taut direction by Robert Iscove. —8 PM 5 9/20/92
