Series Debut. Debut: Mary Tyler Moore returns to series TV as the prickly editor in chief of a Big Apple tabloid. It's the kind of newspaper that, co-executive producer Kim Moses says, "always tells the truth, [but] just screams it a little bit louder." The ensemble drama casts Moore as Louise Felcott, who rides herd on a scrappy New York Reporter staff that includes managing editor Mitch Cotter (Joe Morton), columnist Jack Reilly (Gregory Harrison), reporter Angela Villanova (Melinda Kankaredea) and gossip doyenne Nan Chase (Madeline Kahn). In the first edition, Reilly smokes out an insurance scam involving the fire department. Amato: Anthony DeSando. (1:00)
