The crimes range from A (assassination) to W (white-collar fraud), with murder, espionage and sabotage in between. (What you won't see right away is a case postponed for later airing: the contract killing of a federal judge. The convicted hit man, Charles Harrelson, is the father of Cheers star Woody Harrelson, whose show airs opposite FBI.) Strong point: Realism. Don't expect the endings here to be quite as tidy as the ones in The FBI, the '60s series approved by J. Edgar Hoover. In this series, plea bargaining, insufficient evidence and acquittals are facts of life.
