Special: A preview of a probable mid-season series. Dan Rowan and Dick Martin left their mark on television comedy with the freewheeling "Laugh-In." Now they're trying another offbeat show, which attempts, according to Martin, "to open people's eyes but still let them have fun." The half hour, still untaped at press time, is scheduled to feature a mock news team—headed by Rowan and Martin—reporting up-to-the-minute events of a somewhat less-than-serious nature. And the events are all supposed to be true! "We couldn't possibly make up stories this bizarre," says Martin. "No writer in the world has a brain that big."
