Stephanie's hour of delivery is approaching, and Michael (Peter Scolari) is planning to videotape every precious moment as a gift for their yet-to-be-born tration. As a prologue to the big event, Michael is asking everyone--including Patrick Duffy, Gerald McRaney and Angela Lansbury (seen in cameos)--to answer the question: What kind of parents will Stephanie and I make? To make sure there's no slip-up, he provides cue cards. However, his proposal to capture the snapping of our sapling's posterior for posterity is firmly nixed by Stephanie (Julia Duffy), who makes him promise not to bring the camera into the delivery room. It's a promise Michael keeps but he has a backup plan in mind.
