  • least one short story a week, is a 33rd Degree Mason
  • made his radio debut in 1937 on the Red Foley Show (1937) 1937
  • has made 30 motion pictures, has a strain of rose
  • named after him, almost always carries a camera
  • with him, has received an honorary doctorate of
  • literature from Emerson College, Boston, Mass
