SOMEONE TO LOVE Kay Lenz reprises her Emmy-winning role as Jack's AIDS-stricken love Tina Casady as the two are faced with her impending death. While Jack (Gary Cole) is on the air, Tina (Dennis Dunn) pulls through a call on Jack's private line. It's from a volunteer at St. Christopher's Hospice, who tells Jack that time is running out for Tina. As Jack rushes to her side, the story flashes back to December 1986 and the beginning of what will become Tina's last year of life. Having lost her job and all her money fighting AIDS, Tina moves in with Jack, who is eager to raise her spirits. Jack is angered however, when he finds that Tina keeps sleeping pills in the drawer that all some point she can exercise control by deciding how and when I will be "Don't quit on me," Jack demands. But while Jack is able to stall Tina's thoughts of suicide, his insistence that there is still hope masks his own inability to accept the inevitable.
