The star of Frasier pays fond tribute to the best comedian in an hour peppered with vintage clips? When Grammer observes that Benny "played a good violin—badly" and "gave new meaning to the word 'cheap,' you can almost hear Jack protesting, "Now cut that out!" Indeed, the peccadilloes that Benny created for his act were legendary and provided endless comic fodder for his 1950-65 TV series. The clips shown here offer a solid sampling of Benny's genius. There's Jack as the perpetual 39-year-old. There's Jack fiddling as listeners' ears burn. And, of course, there's Jack being cheap. "Your money or your life," demands a holdup man. Jack responds, "I'm thinking. I'm thinking!" (1:00)

KELSEY GRAMMER SALUTES JACK
BENNY: Tribute. 11/30/95

The star of Frasier pays fond tribute to the be-
comedian in an hour peppered with vintage clips?
When Grammer observes that Benny "played a
good violin—badly" and "gave new meaning to the
word 'cheap,' you can almost hear Jack protesting,
"Now cut that out!" Indeed, the peccadilloes that
Benny created for his act were legendary and pro-
vided endless comic fodder for his 1950-65 TV
series. The clips shown here offer a solid sampling
of Benny's genius. There's Jack as the perpetual 39-
year-old. There's Jack fiddling as listeners' ears
burn. And, of course, there's Jack being cheap.
"Your money or your life," demands a holdup man.
Jack responds, "I'm thinking. I'm thinking!" (1:00)
