TV's never been so real. These aren't actors. SWAT team raids. Emergency room dramas. Firefighting. You're there in the heat of the action. Hosted by Pernell Roberts.
- RESCUE 911
2/27/90
Last Oct. 23, a crew from CBS's Rescue 911 found 1989's most sensational murder on the streets of Boston, when the paramedics they were trailing for a report on emergency workers happened to be the ones who responded to the shooting of Carol and Charles Stuart. This week, you can see what they filmed, as Rescue devotes half of Tuesday's edition to the Stuart story.

(Debut) HERE'S A REALITY-BASED SHOW that's occasionally compelling. Real police officers recount the worst or most exciting moments in their careers; the anecdotes are dramatized by actors. A segment in the series' premier episode about a bomb-squad expert dismantling a bomb in an abortion clinic was well done and harrowing. The reenactments are occasionally overwrought, but the clipped, no-nonsense narration by the police is terrific. B
