1950's
THE MUSIC, MEMORIES AND
MILESTONES
The 1950's: The Music, Memories and
Milestones' is an exciting look at the fifties using
original footage and music of the time.
Those were the days of the fashion revolution
when shorter skirts, ankle socks, pony tails and
of course blue jeans dominated the teenage
scene. Those were baby boom days, as the world
recovered from the war and relaxed into a period
of prosperity.
These were the unforgettable days of Buddy
Holly when Bill Haley 'Rocked Around the
Clock'.
Those were the days when the world held its
breath over Suez and America entered the Korean
War.
Those were record breaking days of the
4 minute mile, the first ascent of Everest and the
launch of Sputnik 1.
Look back with nostalgia at the 1950's and
remember them as they really were.

1960's
THE MUSIC, MEMORIES AND
MILESTONES
The 1960's: The Music, Memories and
Milestones is an exciting look at the sixties using
original footage and music of the time.
This was the decade of the mini skirt and
Carnaby Street, of Beatlemania, The Beach
Boys, Tom Jones and Chubby Checker's 'The
Twist'.
Those were the days of race riots when Martin
Luther King championed civil rights in the USA,
but was shot dead at the peak of his career.
Those were the optimistic days of the young
J F Kennedy, which turned to shock and
outrage when he was assassinated after only
3 years as president.
Those were the Vietnam War days, and the
tense days of the Berlin Wall. Those were the
days too of flower power, as masses of students
protested for peace.
Those were the 'giant leap for mankind' days
as Yuri Gagarin became the first human to orbit
the earth, and then only 8 years later Neil
Armstrong the first man on the moon.
Believe the decade and see that those
really were the days!
